Joan Collins, 92, Shares Glamorous Swimsuit Snap from St. Tropez, Sparking Buzz
Joan Collins shared a swimsuit photo, teased a possible TV sequel, and drew mixed reactions from fans. While some praised her looks, others pointed out signs of photo editing.
Joan Collins drew attention over the weekend after posting a vibrant photo from her time in St. Tropez. Wearing a crisp white swimsuit and bold accessories, the 92-year-old actress posed poolside while reflecting on past roles and teasing new possibilities onscreen.
In the August 16, 2025 Instagram post, Collins appeared against a lush green backdrop, styled in a wide-brimmed fuchsia hat, turquoise earrings, a matching necklace, rings, bracelets, and a coordinating shawl. Her makeup featured defined eyes and rosy lipstick. Posing with one hand gently resting on her cheek, she smiled confidently for the camera.
Captioning the image, Collins penned, "The producer is thinking of making a sequel to Murder Between Friends. I played Francesca Carlyle who is a tv star and also a private detective [sic]. ( like shades of Agatha Christie & Murder She Wrote ). Meanwhile, I'm relaxing in the South of France in 90° heat.🔥 Thinking of my next move or next movie!"
She also credited her stylist, Rene Horsch, her support team, and her husband. The post quickly drew a wide range of fan reactions. Many offered praise for her look. One commenter said, "I am on holiday in my 40's and I do not look nearly as youthful and beautiful as you. Iconic! X."
Another added, "True icon 🤩🌟 so glamorous and chic! 🔥❤️." An enthusiastic fan chimed in with, "You seem to get younger and younger. ❤️" while another one praised, "Beautiful lady beautiful legs [sic]😍❤️." Another follower wrote, "Wow - those colours on you!" And another said simply, "Great legs Joan xx [sic]."
Some, however, expressed skepticism about how natural the image appeared. "Gorgeous but heavily filtered. Let's be honest. Her skin in real life is not like this. Don't appreciate unrealistic expectations for someone in her decade," one person wrote.
Another remarked, "Crazy filter used here." A different commenter opined, "Nice and happy to see that she is around and about ! But filters filters filters ….it is nice to have the option to make a photo look 200% better with so many apps options Yes But the problem is when you see THAT SAME PERSON in Person ! Uppppssss scary 😱 ay ay ay ! [sic]"
In a 2023 interview, Collins spoke about her approach to skincare and aging. In response to a compliment about her skin, she said, "Thank you... It was my mother who told me to moisturise and use night cream. I told my two girls and both of them have fabulous skin. And stay out of the sun."
Her appearance has remained a frequent topic of discussion throughout her decades-long career in the public eye. Collins began her career at 17 with a role in "I Believe in You" and was later signed by 20th Century Fox in 1955. While initially positioned as the next Elizabeth Taylor, she was most recognized for playing rebellious characters.
After a break in the 1960s to focus on motherhood, she returned in the 1970s with roles such as "The Stud." She gained international fame in the 1980s as Alexis Colby in the U.S. soap opera "Dynasty." In addition to acting, she has written nearly 20 books and worked as a columnist for "The Spectator."
She has been married five times and is currently married to Percy Gibson. Past relationships have included Warren Beatty, Ryan O'Neal, Marlon Brando, and Harry Belafonte.
